Cows Night On The Town

Today as Dad and Sarah were doing errands in town (as in Prague) they went to Park's Brothers Hardware store. They were shocked on parking to see a black brangus cow standing in the fenced storage area.
That cow was our's!!! The police were glad to have it identified and claimed.
It was seen in various parts of town all night. From MeadowBrook Street to the Shell Gas Station.
She gladly loaded up in the trailer and seemed tired out from her "Night In Town".
It was a funny experience for us all! : )

Kolache Queen 2006

Katrina ran for Prague's Kolache Queen this year. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work.
She had to fill out numerous paperwork including a resume. She learned traditional Czech Folk Dances and the Beseda.
Katrina had a private interview with the judges, and was required to speak the Czech Language, answer an on stage question, model her costume and perform a talent for the Royalty Pageant on April 29th.
Though the royalty are picked the night of the pageant the results are not made known until the festival, which was May 6th. It was a long week of waiting.
The 2006 Festival was as normal, a day that was un-predictable. The morning came with overcast skies that threatened of rain. The Parade went well with only a few sprinkles. Katrina rode in a 2005 BMW Z4.
The day was filled with running back and forth in between folk dances, lunch, trying to keep everyone dry, Katrina performing her talent again and visting with the brave and loyal friends who stayed dispite the constant drizzle.
The crowning was supposed to be a 6pm but was postponed because of the rain. We waited it out for 30 minutes and then when Elvis finally got off of the stage the crowning took place. Starting with the Prince and then Princess the time seemd to crawl by. At last the crowning was to take place for the Queen. Katrina won "High Ticket Sales" for the Pageant and was selected by the other Queen Candidates as "Miss Congeniality" she was also awarded with "Best Costume" and "Best Talent"
Katrina was crowned the 2006 Prague Kolache Queen. It was soooo exciting!!!
